Repair

There is something gratifying about being able to mend or repair something once it breaks.

Below is a great list of resources for anyone looking to self-diagnose or repair their own belongings. Whether you're looking to fix something yourself or find a skilled repair shop, other directories and maps can help guide you to the right resources for mending and repair.

Mending and textile instructors
At Reuse Minnesota, we believe everyone can benefit from learning how to mend and repair their own textiles. To help you get started, we've put together this list of community menders and textile instructors who offer classes and repair services. Feel free to contact them directly for more details.

Fix-it clinics

Residents bring in small household appliances, clothing, electronics, and more to receive free guided assistance from volunteers with repair skills to disassemble, troubleshoot, and fix items. For most events, you must be able to carry items in.
